I decided to splurge this month on these Bira Magnetic Craft Anywhere Punches and I'm already in LOVE! I do a lot of larger scale projects such as lapbooks and bigger folios, I also like to create "window" or "floating" elements in my projects so it made sense to give these a go...boy, we crafters can always find a way to justify a new tool purchase!!! I NEEDED THEM!
How I use these Magnetic Craft Anywhere Punches!
In the video you'll see me making a tag with a floating butterfly and I have about a third of an inch on either side of the circle punch. That is not what I wanted, I wanted an inch on either side on a much bigger journaling card but my punch wouldn't go deep enough and, I despise fiddling with an exacto knife (I always end up cutting myself). I've run into this type of situation time and time again, I have a "window" or "floating" project set out in my mind and I end up having to do all sorts of re-designing to compensate for the reach of my punches.
I chose Bira brand punches for two reasons: I already have several Bira punches and they are definitely the better quality punches out of the bunch, and, they simply have a larger variety of these types of punches.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and that you find it useful!
